Objective Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in women with many psychological complications. This study aims to compare the effects of cognitive hypnotherapy (CH) and spiritual therapy (ST) on the body image concern of women with breast cancer.
Methods This is a quasi-experimental study (A randomized clinical trial) with a pre-test/post- test design. The study population consists of all women with breast cancer referred to Mirdamad Clinic in Gorgan, Iran. Of these, 30 were selected using a convenience sampling method and were divided into two experimental groups of CH (n=20) and ST (n=20) and one control group  (n=10). The groups were examined for their body image concern before and after the intervention using Littleton’s Body Image Concern Inventory (BICI).
Results The ANCOVA results showed that both CH and ST had a significant positive effect on reducing body image concern, and there was no significant difference between the two methods.
Conclusion Both CH and ST have a significant positive effect on reducing body image concerns of women with breast cancer in Iran.
